The Calgary Folk Music Festival is one of Canada’s flagship, trailblazing music festivals. It's been held annually since 1980 at the beautiful Prince’s Island Park in Calgary, Alberta.

Our broad, cutting-edge programming boasts 70+ artists from near and far playing on seven stages in concerts and collaborative sessions featuring everything from folk to funk to global sounds and fresh hip hop.

Proudly green

Did you know: in 2023 we diverted 70% of all festival waste from landfills? The Calgary Folk Music Festival has been dedicated to creating a green and eco-friendly festival for decades, and our incredible eco-crew are on the frontlines and helping us redefine our goals for the next five years. Environmental sustainability is a pillar of the Folk Festival Society of Calgary. Let's do everything we can to lighten our footprint in 2024! We are thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Routine Natural Beauty for our eco program! Stay tuned for more details.
